New Feature Allows Adding Team Players to Event!

Adding individual people to teams in events just got so much easier! You can always start by using saved teams, but there are many instances where your event may have new or different teams than before that do not require them to be saved. While creating a team event, simply click “Add Players” and select two people from your list. They will be automatically placed within their team until the end of the event. This new feature allows for fast and efficient placement of people into the team setting to give you a more user-friendly way to run your tournaments or leagues. We highly recommend giving this new feature a try while taking advantage of our doubles event types. We offer doubles best of 3, 5, 7 and set of 3. Give your automated pickelball teams event a try today!

Sharing and Joining Events is Now Live!

Are you creating an event for your next pickleball outing and looking for a way to share it? We have come up with a solution for this here at Score Pickleball! When logged into your account and creating an event, simply click the 3 dots at the top right of the event details page and click “Share Event”. Depending on your device, you will be prompted with several ways to share the event with the people that you want to notify. We prefer to send the link out via text. This helps to ensure immediate contact to allow the event to fill up with players faster. Upon receipt of the shared event, the user will click the link and be taken to the event you have created within the app. They will then be allowed to join the event themselves, saving you time and hassle of filling the event manually yourself. Once the event is full, registration will no longer be allowed and you will be able to enjoy your stress-free event!

Championing the Spirit of Pickleball

Score Pickleball believes that pickleball is a sport for everyone. Our mission is to enhance the game by focusing on the recreational player, building a community-centric platform that enriches every aspect of your pickleball experience. We aim to provide a comprehensive suite of gameplay options – from varied game rotations and tournament structures to league formats, player statistics, and rankings—all conveniently accessible on your mobile device.

Score Pickleball was created by passionate enthusiasts and visionary entrepreneurs with one goal in mind: to enhance the pickleball experience for players and organizers worldwide. We provide a user-friendly app that simplifies game scoring, league organization, and progress tracking, allowing you to focus on what you love most—playing and enjoying pickleball with friends and teammates.

Addressing the Community’s Needs

One of the significant challenges in the pickleball community has been the absence of dedicated, user-friendly technology. Many players have relied on Microsoft Excel, pen and paper, or repurposed apps from other sports to manage their games and tournaments. This fragmented approach is cumbersome and fails to capture the sport’s essence.

Key Features of Score Pickleball

  • Leagues and Tournaments: Organize and participate in various league formats, round-robin and ladder rotations, Major League Pickleball style events, MoneyBall, and more.
  • Player Stats Tracking: Monitor your performance and progress with detailed statistics.
  • Team Creation and Management: Form and manage multiple types of teams effortlessly.
  • Versatile Formats: Play and track any game format across the application, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Certified Rating Specialists: Ensure accurate and reliable ratings with our team of qualified rating specialists, providing a fair competitive balance.
  • Community Engagement: Foster connections within your local community and beyond through the app’s social features.

Creating Thriving Communities

Pickleball is growing rapidly, and Score Pickleball is committed to evolving alongside the sport and its community. Our platform supports players at every stage of their journey, from youth programs to senior leagues, prioritizing the needs of recreational players to ensure you have the best tools to enjoy the game you love. By embracing innovation, we bring a premier pickleball experience to local clubs and player groups, continuously enhancing how players engage with the sport. Above all, we champion the joy of pickleball, prioritizing fitness, fun, social connection, and healthy competition.

HOLLY HILL, FLORIDA – The Red Clay Hot Sauce PPA Florida Open, a major pickleball event, drew 215 professionals, making it the largest PPA event of the year. The Men’s Pro Singles bracket had a record-breaking 80 players. One notable newcomer, Collin Shick, made it to the Championship Sunday by winning three matches in the qualifiers and defeating several experienced players. Although it was Shick’s first pro event, he managed to earn a spot in the Finals, facing off against Ben Johns. In the end, Ben Johns won gold over Shick, who gave fans an exciting performance to root for.

In women’s singles, Anna Leigh Waters was the clear favorite, but Catherine Parenteau dominated the event and won gold in singles against Lea Jansen and doubles alongside ALW. Parenteau defeated Anna Leigh in the semifinals, showcasing her impressive skills. In mixed doubles, Parenteau and Tyson McGuffin faced Ben Johns and Anna Leigh Waters in the finals, with Ben and Anna continuing their dominance in the PPA and winning the mixed doubles championship. Ben and his brother Colin maintained their 2023 undefeated streak in men’s doubles.

The event also saw some interesting new partnerships and shifting alliances. Riley Newman experimented with a new doubles partner, MLP Hard Eights owner Tim Parks, who is rated sub 4.0 on DUPR, as well as Paris Todd in mixed. Newman split with Anna Bright, who is partnered with James Ignatowich for the Florida event and the rest of the year. Paris Todd will pair with Bright in women’s and Newman in mixed.

The Red Clay Hot Sauce PPA Florida Open showcased the incredible talent of the top players in the sport, as well as newcomers like Shick and Tellez. The dominance of Parenteau and Waters in women’s doubles, as well as Ben and Anna’s consistent performance, solidified their positions as top players in the PPA.

Although Anna Leigh Waters was the only player standing in the way of Parenteau achieving a triple crown, Parenteau’s performance in the championships is a testament her rising star in the sport. Professional pickleball is on the rise, and the Red Clay Hot Sauce PPA Florida Open this past weekend marks yet another amazing event as the sport continues to grow.
